The short version
- You pay online, then pick up at the pop-up market you choose. We don't ship.
- Cancel for a full refund any time before your market starts.
- Can't make it? We hold your order for one more market, then refund it in full.
- If something sells out or a market is canceled, you get your money back.
- The designs belong to Sabina Borjes: enjoy your stickers, but please don't copy them.
1.About these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Stick and Snap (“we”, “us”), a student-run group project made up of Sabina Borjes, Jonathan Duchauffour, Cannon Good, Yatin Manuel, George Parzych. They cover your use of this website and every order you place through it.
By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Stick and Snap is not an official service of any school or university, and no school or university is a party to these Terms or responsible for our products or service.
2.Who can order
You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to place an order. If you're under 18, your parent or guardian should complete the checkout and agrees to these Terms on your behalf. You must give accurate information at checkout, especially your name and a phone number or email where we can reach you about pickup.
3.Our stickers
Every design is drawn by hand with markers by Sabina Borjes, then printed on sticker paper and cut on a Cricut machine. Because each sticker is made in small batches by hand, small variations in color, cut line and size from the photos on the site are normal and are not defects. Colors on your screen may differ from the printed sticker.
Stickers contain small parts and are not toys. Keep them away from children under 3. Stick them only on clean, dry surfaces you own or have permission to decorate; we're not responsible for damage to surfaces when a sticker is applied or removed.
A pack contains every sticker listed on its product page. Products marked “Sold out” can't be ordered. A pack is sold out whenever any sticker in it is sold out.
4.Prices and payment
Prices are in US dollars and are shown on the site and again on the checkout page before you pay. The price charged is the one shown at checkout. If we're required to collect sales tax, it will be shown at checkout. Promotion codes are subject to any conditions announced with them, can't be exchanged for cash, and may be withdrawn at any time.
Payment is taken in full when you place your order and is processed by Stripe. By paying, you also agree to Stripe's terms for the payment service. We don't accept payment for website orders any other way.
Despite our care, a price or product may occasionally be listed incorrectly. If we find an error affecting your order, we'll contact you and either honor the correct price with your agreement or cancel the order and give you a full refund.
5.Placing an order
Your order is confirmed when your payment succeeds and you see the confirmation page with your order number. Please keep the order number; you'll need it at pickup.
We may refuse or cancel an order, with a full refund, if an item turns out to be unavailable, if there was a pricing or listing error, if we suspect fraud or misuse, or if we can't attend the market you chose and can't offer you an alternative you accept.
Sold-out flags are updated by hand, so on rare occasions an item may sell out at the booth after you've ordered it. If that happens we'll refund that item in full and let you know.
6.Pickup at the market
We don't ship. Every order is collected in person at the pop-up market you chose at checkout, during that market's hours. Orders must be placed before the market's order cutoff shown on the site.
Pre-orders before a market is scheduled. If no market date is set when you order, you'll choose “next market (date TBA)” at checkout. We'll email you the date, time and place of our next pop-up market once it's booked, and you'll collect your order there. If that date doesn't work for you, you can move your order to a later market or cancel it for a full refund.
To collect, come to our booth and give us the name on the order and your order number (it's on your confirmation page). You can send someone else to collect for you if they have both. Once an order has been handed to anyone who gives the correct name and order number, it counts as delivered.
Your order becomes yours, and responsibility for it passes to you, when it's handed over at the booth.
If you can't make it
If you don't collect your order at the market you chose, we'll hold it for our next pop-up market and contact you to let you know. If it's still unclaimed after that next market, we'll cancel it and give you a full refund to your original payment method.
If a market changes
Markets sometimes move or get canceled (weather, venue changes, things beyond our control). If your market changes, we'll contact you using the email or phone number you gave at checkout. You can either move your order to another market or cancel it for a full refund.
7.Cancellations and refunds
- Changed your mind? You can cancel your order for a full refund any time before your pickup market starts. Email yatinm@vt.edu with your order number.
- Sold out, unclaimed, canceled market, or our mistake: full refund, as described above.
- Something wrong with your stickers? If an item is damaged, misprinted or not what you ordered, tell us at the booth or email us within 14 days of pickup, with a photo if you can. We'll replace it if we have one, or refund that item.
- After pickup, we can't accept returns of stickers that are in good condition just because you changed your mind.
Refunds go back to your original payment method through Stripe. They usually appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection law.
8.Artwork and intellectual property
All sticker designs are original artwork by Sabina Borjes and are protected by copyright. The rest of the website, including its text, design and code, belongs to Stick and Snap and its members. All rights are reserved.
Buying a sticker gives you the physical sticker to use and enjoy. It doesn't give you any right to copy, scan, print, sell or create products from the design, or to use it as a logo or for commercial purposes, without our written permission. You're welcome to share photos of your stickers on social media.
If you believe something on our site infringes your rights, email yatinm@vt.edu with the details and we'll look into it promptly.
9.Using the website
When using the site, you agree not to:
- place fake or fraudulent orders, or use a payment method you're not authorized to use;
- copy, scrape or download our artwork or images in bulk, or use them to train AI models;
- interfere with the site's security or operation, overload it, or try to access parts of it you shouldn't; or
- use the site for anything unlawful.
We may limit or block access for anyone who breaks these rules. The site may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or because of problems with our host or Stripe; we'll do our best to keep it running but can't promise it will always be available.
10.Third-party services
Payments are handled by Stripe, and the site may link to other websites (such as maps for market locations). We don't control those services and aren't responsible for their content or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
11.Disclaimers
Apart from the commitments we make in these Terms, the website and our products are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Some places don't allow these disclaimers, so they may not apply to you.
12.Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the site or our products. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13.Governing law and disputes
If you have a problem, please email yatinm@vt.edu first. Most issues can be sorted out quickly, and we'll try in good faith to do so.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be handled by the state or federal courts located in or serving Montgomery County, Virginia, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. Either of us may instead bring a claim in small claims court if it qualifies. This doesn't take away any right you have to bring a claim where you live under consumer protection law.
14.Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll change the “Last updated” date at the top, and the version in effect when you place an order applies to that order. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the new Terms.
15.General
These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the site and your orders. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don't enforce a part of these Terms right away, we haven't waived it. You can't transfer your rights under these Terms to someone else without our consent.
16.Contact us
